Earlier in the pregnancy when Rebecca went in for a routine ultrasound,they found a serious condition with the baby's heart. This condition is called pulmonary atresia (PA). PA is a complicated congenital (present at birth) defect that occurs due to abnormal development of the fetal heart during the first 8 weeks of pregnancy.
